There's a fresh face on our team at Moji a bang salon, in Englewood, Colorado! We'd like to formally introduce you to the incredibly talented Julie Arredondo!
This Colorado native grew up in Denver. After graduating from CU, with a degree in costume design, she moved to New York to explore the world of professional theater. It was during her internship at The Juilliard School that she discovered her true passion of hairstyling. Not long after, she attended the Carsten Institute of Cosmetology in NYC. While at the institute she perfected the French Hair Cutting Tecnhique. This technique allows her to effortlessly uncover the natural beauty of each individual client, while also saving client's valuable time, due to the efficient expertise of this method. She's also continued to enhance her talent through classes with Toni & Guy, as well as L'Oreal's SoHo Academy. She now has more than 5 years of professional experience under her belt and is a fabulous choice for a fresh haircut, blow out or updo.
And if being an inspiring hair stylist isn't enough, she also has some unique adventure in her past. When you hear of adorable love connections, you don't automatically think of this scenario; online ad for a roommate, enter man of your dreams. This is exactly how Julie and her husband, Cesar, met. If it wasn't for her Craigslist ad for a roommate in her Brooklyn apartment, their paths would never have crossed. The success of this chance meeting, led to love, traveling and a perfect engagement while visiting family in Japan.
In late 2015, after New York, Japan, a trip to Helsinki and the birth of her daughter, Beatrix, this adventurous spirit made her way back to her old stomping ground of Colorado. After 8 years away, she now spends her days rediscovering Denver, questing the perfect latte, spending time with her husband and daughter or playing with her French Bulldog, Brutus. She also loves to work with her hands, whether it be at Moji a bang salon or relaxing at home, sewing and knitting.
